MT. PLEASANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL | OREGON CITY, OREGON

When drastic budget cuts hit the Oregon City School District
in 2009, all elementary school administrators were
forced to cut their physical education teachers. “The kids
were very sad when they heard their teacher was being
cut,” said Principal Carol Kemhus. “We live in Oregon and
there is lots of rain and you can’t always go outside to play.
We need opportunities in the gym and we need instruction
on games and activities.” (Click HERE to read how our Mt. Pleasant community came together!)

PORTLAND TIMBERS SOCCER CAMP

The camp will be June 2-3rd and will be for kids 5-13 years old. Each camp offers a highly skilled coaching staff, a low coach-to-player ratio, an opportunity to meet a professional Timbers soccer player, an official Adidas Timbers camp t-shirt, a Portland Timbers Camp certificate or evaluation (based on age), as well as a free ticket to a Timbers Reserve game with the purchase of another reserve game ticket. Along with learning technical skills, kids will also be exposed to the Timbers-original TREES program designed to teach young players life values and life skills that are important on and off the field.

TEAMWORK, RESPECT, EFFORT, ENVIRONMENT and SPORTSMANSHIP are incorporated into each camp’s curriculum.
