The City of Oregon
City Historic Review Board and the Clackamas
County Historical Society are sponsoring a photo
contest from May 1 through June 30. We are
inviting entries from photographers of all ages
and want to make certain that all Oregon City
School District students are aware of the
contest. The first place winner in the Youth
category (10 and under) will win $25 and in the
Teen category (11-18) the prize is $50. The
winning Adult entry will receive $75. The prize
funds have been donated by Danielsons Hilltop
Mall.
Entry forms and contest rules are available at:
www.clackamashistory.org/photo-contest. The
contest is part of our celebration of National
Preservation Month and a tie-in to the current
photography exhibit at the Museum of the Oregon
Territory. We are accepting photos of historic
homes, buildings or landscapes taken in Oregon
City during the contest period. Participation in
the contest might be an excellent way to
encourage students to learn more about the
history of their city.
